Hi folks,
We have been busy bees refitting our new premises in Melbourne over the past six weeks, and just today passed our Health Inspection with flying colours, so I am pleased to announce that Wildilocks @ The LockWorks is now officially OPEN!
Our address is Level 1, 382 Little Collins St, with entrance on McKillop St – just a couple of doors down from CBD Nightclub, so many of you will already know exactly where to come as you may have been to 3D or DV8! You can find us listed on Google Maps shortly if you are not sure though!
Nearly all our clothing ranges have arrived, so we have good stock levels of a range of exciting goth/industrial/raver/hippie lines, including some certified organic cotton basics in black for the eco-conscious goth, as well as being the exclusive stockist of new clothing label Covet Couture from Perth, which I know many of you will be seriously impressed by – a great range of tops, skirts, dresses and shirts. We also have New Rocks in stock, and we have a range of jewellery and accessories including Kittycat Black chokers for the girls and Cyberoptix ties for the guys.
As far as hair stuff goes Our Special Effects hair dye stock is brimming full, as is our KnottyBoy dread stuff stock! We use only Chi ammonia free permanent colours & lightener in the salon – if you’ve never used an ammonia free colour or bleach before you’re in for a big surprise. Another item we have recently begun stocking in the Perth store and now in Melbourne too which many of you may never have heard of before but would find hard to do without once tried, is Biosilk Black Orchid colour maintenance conditioner – keeps dyed black hair *really* black.
Our Melbourne manager is Kat Martin, who is very familiar with the scene, has over 20 years of salon and teaching experience, specialising in colour and colour correction, alternative bridal, and (most excitingly) vintage hairstyles. She also runs Raqs Gothique, Melbourne’s Gothic Bellydance school and performance troupe. She will be available for appointments from Tuesday to Saturday.
We also have as a senior stylist on our initial team Nicole Taylor, who is well known to many of you as Error Diffusion, has significant experience with alternative hairpieces, and is also a fully qualified hair stylist and has been receiving many positive reviews from folks in the scene. You can make appointments with Nicole on Thursdays and Fridays.
The LockWorks opening hours are:
Tuesday – 10.00am – 5.00pm
Wednesday – 10.00am – 5.00pm
Thursday – 10.00am – 7.00pm
Friday – 10.00am – 7.00pm
Saturday – 10.00am – 5.00pm
The phone number in the store is (03) 9642 3384, and the main contact email address for the LockWorks is info@thelockworks.net
Also, have a brand spanking new flyer which you’ll be seeing about the traps very soon, in street press and maybe even a poster or two 🙂
Any questions, please ask! 🙂
