Hey cats and kittens! It’s been a while since we did a general update on what’s been happening in the land of the Wild and hirsute. Frankly there’s been so much going on over summer we’ve barely stopped expect to promote events we’ve been involved in – but there’s been so much more!
Staff News: Our lovely stylist Kate became a fully qualified Senior early this year, and has been helping out at the Perth store – those of you who’ve met her in either location will know just how wonderfully she fits in with our great crew. Kelsey our part time Melbourne junior has become a full time apprentice, and starts classes in a couple weeks. She just got her tools for the trade last week, and has a spanky new pair of PIRATE scissors – that’s right, PIRATE scissors! They are adorable, as is she. Everyone else is going great guns, and despite the economic downturn, we are still getting busier all the time- in fact we are always on the look out for new senior staff, so if you’re qualified please send us your resume! We won’t be looking for new juniors for at least 3-6 months or so though that’s also one the cards as well so if you’re interested in working with us in either case please send resumes to jobs@wildilocks.com.
New Products: As always new clothing is arriving all the time, with additions to the racks over the past few weeks including gorgeous Sekushi open rope-back 3/4 sleeve tops that we all adore, some super cute new style New Rock Boots, semi glove/arm sleeves in simple stripe and tribal patterns as well as fancier lace and velvet styles, volumious floor length ball skirts, and so much more. In hair product, we have been stocking Directions hair dye for a few months now and have been really impressed with this adjunct to our Special Effects range of intense semi-permanent colours: there are some slightly different shades, and they are as long lasting as SFX. Yummy! Also new on the radar are a couple of great certified organic products by Everescents and CHI: Our current favourite hair reviltaliser, the Organic Cinnamon and Patchouli Deep Treatment has become hugely popular with clients and staff alike; and we’ve just received new stock of our always popular CHI Tone & Shine colour enhancing conditioners: we’re very excited to discover the new range has become Certified Organic as this was not previously an organic product. Has necessitated a small price rise, but it’s so worth it to tread lighter on our planet.
Events: Things are a little quiet on the event front now Circa Nocturna is over, but the Antipodean League of Temporal Voyagers (the nominal organising body behind Euchronia) has just announced A Queen’s Birthday Dinner Voyage – a lovely steampunk-themed dinner aboard Melbourne’s Colonial Tramway Restaurant! That’s still a few months away but tickets are strictly limited, and available from the League website or in store @ The Lockworks.
New Treats: Finally, we have just updated our Wildilocks Treats blog with a new article on Vintage styling: Regency to early Victorian (the Jane Austen era) which is a gorgeous look indeed, see out lovely model Alice below:
Holiday Opening Hours: Please note that Wildilocks in both Perth and Melbourne will be closed the entire weekend of Easter from Friday 10th – Monday 13th April.
That’s all for this newsletter folks! Have a wonderful belated Vernal Equinox celebration and don’t stuff yourself with *too* much chocolate 🙂
